Pet Care Foundation
Each year, thousands of pets are euthanized because their owners face financial hardships that prevent them from being able to afford emergency and specialty veterinary care.
In an effort to keep families together and decrease economic euthanasia, we have created a charitable donation fund in partnership with the Veterinary Care Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All grants are awarded based on the client's financial need and the patient's individual situation. It is our hope that our Pet Care Fund will allow pets to continue living long, healthy lives with their loving families.
Who Qualifies for Lakeshore’s Charitable Pet Care Foundation?
- Owned pets in need of emergency medical care.
- Lakeshore patients with a good prognosis (via recommended medical treatment).
- Pet owners who can demonstrate financial need.
- Funding recipients must demonstrate that all other payment options have been exhausted.
Our attending veterinarian will work with pet owners and pets to make grant decisions on a case-by-case basis.
