What Our Clients Say
Lakeshore invites you to read more about the advanced specialty and emergency care our clients have experienced at our hospitals. These client testimonials demonstrate the compassion and progressive medical care our board-certified doctors, technical and client care team members deliver to every one of our patients in need.
Mabel Seems Like Her Old Self!
Our dog had two TPLO surgeries this year at Lakeshore. I sent a thank you to the Glendale staff after the first surgery but was remiss in sending thanks to the wonderful team at Oak Creek. Thank you to Dr. Matt Stepnik for your detailed explanation, patience in answering questions, and dedication to making sure our pets have the best possible surgical outcomes. Thanks to the overnight veterinarian who we called for Mabel's post-surgical status. Thank you to the emergency veterinarian, who was very caring when we brought Mabel in for a minor complication. Thank you to all the technicians who fielded our questions and provided detailed information about recovery; you treated Mabel with so much care. And thanks to the client care staff who were calm, patient, pleasant, efficient, and genuinely cared. Two surgeries were hard on Mabel and very stressful for us. So thank you to everyone for helping us through it! Mabel is currently doing very well. She has no limp in either leg, and has not been on pain medication for weeks. She walks with me three times a day for 20-30 minute, swims up north, and is now off leash in the yard doing what she likes best…waiting in the corner of the yard for our neighbor to come out and bring her a treat! The best part is that she seems more like her old self. Know that you all are very much appreciated!
Many many thanks to Dr. Byl and all the staff at Lakeshore Veterinary for caring for my dog at the end of her life. She was slowing down a bit, and my vet found her to be anemic and have fluid in her lungs. I was able to get a same day appointment for her, and Dr. Byl did a thorough workup and found she probably had widespread metastatic cancer. I could not come to the appointment, but he spoke to my husband with me on speakerphone. He was extremely thorough and presented all options to us, with cost and life expectancy, even the options that might be futile but might buy her a little more time. In the end, we decided not to let her suffer. I wish I could have met each and every staff member, as all were important in her care. My husband says you were all wonderful. Thank you so much for taking good care of my Lola.
Dr. Williams Was Exceptionally Wonderful
I wanted to thank the team at Oak Creek on the 4th of July, especially Dr. Katie Williams. They did what they could to help my dog Ruby who likely suffered neurological complications from meningitis. We were very impressed with the team's professionalism and compassion for our furry friends. Dr. Katie was exceptionally wonderful with speaking to us throughout our very difficult visit that made it much less difficult. We appreciated her compassion, honesty and genuineness. Thank you all for the wonderful sympathy card that we received today. Love The Joyce family
Thank You Dr. Rives
On 07/04/2017 my awesome dog Gracie was bitten by another dog on the snout. As soon as I arrived at the Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists in Port Washington at approximately 12:56am, the staff worked on calming me down as well as looking at my Gracie. Dr. Lerin Rives took care of my Gracie with compassion and care - thank you. Dr. Rives assured me that Gracie would heal well, but may not grow hair where the wound was located. The unconditional love that Gracie gives me is nothing less than a miracle. This experience was harder on me than on Gracie...she is an amazing dog. Thank you again to Dr. Rives and the entire Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists staff in Port Washington!
Lakeshore Saved Gunner's Life!
Lakeshore saved our Gunner's life! Gunner was very sick - we took him to our vet's office and were told that he had an obstruction and needed surgery in the morning. Later on that night he collapsed in our yard. Ken rushed him to Lakeshore in Oak Creek. He was immediately triaged, seen by Dr. Page, and an ultrasound was done. He was throwing up blood and Dr. Page noted blood in his stool. They never found an obstruction, nor did he need surgery. However, he had greatly decompensated due to the vomiting and diarrhea. He was placed in ICU as he was in critical condition. Further testing and treatment occurred during the night. Dr. Page then handed over care to Dr. Hanson in the morning. They are both absolutely awesome ER vets! Unfortunately, Gunner started to go south later in the morning. We thought we were going to lose him. Dr Hanson's fast actions turned him around, and by noon he was getting better. They were able to correctly diagnosis him and give him appropriate treatment. His care continued with Dr. Williams, and Dr. Whitley was able to discharge him the next evening. All of the staff at Oak Creek are outstanding - they are highly qualified and truly, truly care about the patient. They saved our 7 month old Golden Retriever's life. Thank you everyone at Oak Creek!!!
Our poor dog, Charlie, has been through the wringer. He had two peri-anal hernias that required repair so we were sent to Lakeshore and advised to have surgery. While that surgery was successful, he developed complications and I'm happy to say that Lakeshore has had our back the entire way through this ordeal of getting him well again. The staff is friendly, concerned, and seems to really care for Charlie. We have no worries about the care he receives there, for we believe it is top-notch! Thanks Lakeshore, for helping make our little guy well again and "all terrier, all the time" again.
Cedar Loved the Water Treadmill!
I have seen a lot of vets and thankfully I found my regular vet who recommended Lakeshore for my cat's issues. The staff was excellent! Just like a human hospital. I am very thankful for their compassion and expertise. Nelson was a special case, which I'm not surprised - he is a special man, and now on the mend. Thank you Lakeshore family. I have my big man back!
High Quality of Life for Seamus
Thank you is not enough to express our gratitude for the outstanding care our lab Seamus was given by Dr. Luginbill, Drew, Kristen, Shannon and Crystal. With their help and expertise (and love) we learned how to successfully manage his disabilities and keep him happy and healthy. He maintained an incredibly high quality of life up to the very end. He is the one in the wheelchair hanging out at the dog park!
Remy Received Phenomenal Care
I want to acknowledge the amazing and compassionate staff at the Oak Creek, Lakeshore office. The moment I walked into your office, (barely able to speak) every staff member I encountered, showed professionalism and empathy. The Technician came out and greeted me and spoke softly, while she tried to calm my fears and explain my options. I appreciated that she knew, I was in no shape emotionally, to discuss my dog over the counter. Once we met with Dr. Williams, she went over her findings and concerns. She reassured me that I was making the right decision. I also discussed my dog's most recent history with her. She was so caring, she never rushed us, but most importantly she made me feel that I made the right decisions for him leading up to that day. Although, we lost Remy yesterday, the care our boy received at Lakeshore, was phenomenal. Thank-you to all of the staff who helped our family on 4/03/17.
We Can Love Barley for Years to Come
Dr's Byl and Tremelling, Bonnie and all the amazing staff at Lakeshore, Thank you for caring for Barley like he was your cat. He is doing very well, running around the house and so playful. We appreciate all you did so that we can love Barley for many years to come.
Buck is Recovering Well
Many thanks to the team of doctors and staff that took care of my Lab, Buck, over the last couple of weeks. From the initial evaluation to undergoing multiple tests to surgery and post-op, they were all very professional and compassionate. They also provided excellent follow up communication before, during and after the procedures. Buck is recovering very well and is back to being a happy Lab again. Thanks again Lakeshore!!
Truly Never Too Busy to Care
Dr. Buback and Staff, Macy and I would just like to thank all of the staff at Lakeshore Vet for the help, advice, phone calls, availability, and care she experienced with her TPLO surgery! Your kindness, understanding, and help made this go as smoothly as it could. The help with contacting our new vet in Iowa was above and beyond what we could ask for to make our move easier! You truly are never too busy to care. Most certainly the BEST vet experience we have ever had! Thank you for everything! Love, Carli & Macy
Lakeshore Took Great Care of Us
Our dog, Diesel, was not feeling good and we had him at our local vet earlier in the week and they placed him on a bland diet. A few days after he seemed better but then late on Saturday night, he wouldn't leave our side and we tried laying with him and giving him pillows but nothing work. We called Lakeshore Sunday AM and inquired about price to visit (which was reasonable) and schedule appt. The staff was great and understood our concern with our furry family member. Diesel was asked to stay so they could do some more testing. Later that day, we received a call that all pet owners dread. Diesel was sick and they didn't know if surgery would help. We made the tough call to lay him to rest because they feared if we brought him home, he wouldn't make it. Through many tears, we drove back down and were greeted with lots of sincerity from the staff. They had a secluded family room for us to say our final goodbyes with no time constraints or pressure from the staff. It was a horrible time for our family but they took great care of us and Diesel. I hope we never have to do that again with our other dogs, but if we have a medical emergency again- we will not hesitate to come here!! They made the final process steps easy to understand and allowed us to choose how we wanted to take Diesel home. They again apologized for our families' loss once we picked up his remains and we received a card in the mail that was signed by all the staff with Diesel's footprints. Thank you for all your help!
Thank You for Giving Me My Dog Back
My name is Abby and my pet Vinny has been treating with Dr. Rushing for almost a year now for meningitis. I'm sure your clinic sees a lot of tragedy, so I wanted to share some good news. When my husband (Matt) and I brought Vinny in last September, 2015, it was very scary and we did not have much hope for him. But over the course of his recommended treatment by Dr. Rushing, we gradually noticed slight improvements. It took a while, but we saw hope. I am happy to say that almost a year out from his initial diagnosis, I feel like I have my dog back. Vinny loves to be outside, he LOVES to bring me toys, play keep away and/or tug of war, he also loves to go swimming, and lastly he loves to cuddle (and sometimes chase) with his sister Bella. These are all activities that he used to enjoy prior to his illness and until more recently, he wasn't able to do. So, I just wanted to say thank you for giving me my dog back. He is so loved and without your help and expertise, we would have lost him.
Our Yorkshire Terrier, Candy had a TPLO surgery in April. When we went in for our consultation with Dr. Stepnik he explained her problem and the different procedures recommended for her. He put it in terms we could understand, and helped us make the right choice for her. We felt very comfortable with him and the decision we made together. Surgery went well and Dr. Stepnik called us to report her condition. She was to stay the night. We did call once to check on her, which they encouraged us to do. All in all, our experience at Lakeshore was a comforting one. Everyone we encountered truly cared about Candy. And what a pleasant surprise at the time of Candy's pick up, we had money coming back! Which meant the estimate they gave me up front was high. That rarely happens! What that means to me, is their honesty. Today Candy is doing very well. She is back to playing and enjoying her little life. Thank you to all the staff of Lakeshore for your compassionate care. We will definitely recommend your services.
This Is the "A" Team
I would like the world to know how much my wife and I appreciate the expert professional attention and loving care this team put forth to help us cope and care for our son. Words can and will never express gratitude we feel and the respect we have for all these individuals who helped Brutus through this difficult time. From the start JoAnn was an Angel talking us through each step, even while at a wedding she took our phone call. JoAnn we owe you. Amy the oncologist with so much heart and compassion we thank you and if you ever need a Stan's Donut fix let us know. Dr. Mauldin mapping the treatment out, talking us through the procedure and making this entire treatment seem like a walk in the park. Dr Rudloff you are a very special person. The care and warmth you bring to not only the patients but the parents is amazing. I have met several Vet. in my lifetime and none can hold a candle next to you. NOT EVEN CLOSE. You attention to detail with the care and love you have for animals is amazing. This is the A Team. I promise who ever reads this if you ever need medical attention for a family member with for legs this is the best place in the United States to be. JoAnn we will keep in touch and are looking forward to having you and your family visit us in Michigan. Amy thank you for your compassion. Please send out a special thanks to Joyce for her thoughtful wishes and conversation. Also than you Amy the client care liaison for your your funny stories and for keeping us informed and company while our son was having his procedure. Thanks again to all involved.
The End Result Was Oustanding
In January our dog Brandy had TPLO surgery. We followed the instructions for post surgery and had laser treatments. We started taking her to swim therapy and the therapist said that if we had not told her Brandy had the surgery she would have never known. I have to thank and commend the surgeons and staff at Lakeshore for the great job they did and the post surgery instructions they gave. I didn't know what to expect but the end result was outstanding!!!!! Keep up the good work. From us and Brandy THANK YOU
Thank You Dr. Rushing!
What an Amazing Place!
What an amazing place. The compassion given to our dog was wonderful. From the receptionist who checked us in, to the tech who was beyond gentle and patient, to the kind and caring veterinarian, everyone here is wonderful. You are all doing the jobs you were meant to be doing. Thank you for taking great care of our puppy!
Staff Members Went Above And Beyond Expectations
Staff Members Went Above And Beyond Expectations Written by: Jaye and William Lakeshore Hospital Location: Glendale Dear Christina, Last Tuesday evening, we had to make the single most challenging decision a pet owner can make. Unfortunately, we were compelled to euthanize our pet cat (Hector; DOB 06/04/2012) after an emotional discussion with Abigail Schmidt, BVMS. Please be advised that Ms. Schmidt was one of MANY staff members who went above and beyond any pet owner's expectations in the way of service, compassion and professional excellence. My partner and I insist that you commend each and every one of the following staff members for their kindness and consideration: Abigail Schmidt, BVMS, The clinician who examined our beloved pet Emilie, Client Care Specialist Sam, Veterinary Assistant Jean, Client Care Specialist We'd hardly believe such a group of kind-hearted people existed, but at your organization, they clearly do. We not only request that you share this correspondence with your Client Care Manager, Holly, but we welcome you to publish it as both a client testimonial and a reminder that compassion for both pets and their owners are equally priceless. Once again, we salute you for your professionalism, your commitment to your field and for making one of the worst possible evenings more bearable. Best Wishes, Jaye & William
Lakeshore Was There For Us
Lakeshore Veterinary specialists were there when our Rocky needed them the most. Every person that we worked with was compassionate to us and our furry family member. Not only did you provide us with options, you kept us updated throughout his overnight stay and followed up with us again in the following weeks. Thank you again for taking good care of our Golden.
Cody and Kiera are Reunited!
To Everyone at Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists, Don't know how you do it all, but I'm really glad you do. Thank you so much for taking amazing care of our baby, Cody. He is so happy to be home with his sister, Kiera! 🙂 Thank you, Rebecca, Robert, Cody & Kiera
Dear Dr. Byl, Dr. Buback, Dr. Tremelling, and Staff, We would like to thank you for your recent help in caring for our dog, Elle. The professional care and concern shown by all the members of your staff in caring for, diagnosing, and treating Elle was most appreciated. We also appreciated the time you spent with us explaining Elle's surgery and treatment options and your patience in answering all our questions. Sincerely, Bob & Karen
Highly Recommend Lakeshore!
We were referred to Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists when our 9-year old Golden Retriever, Kylie, showed a high level of calcium during a routine blood screening. Fearing a cancer, we visited with Dr. Rachel Reiman, an oncology specialist. After a series of tests, no cancer/tumors/etc. were found. Going forward, the plan is to monitor Kylie's calcium levels on an on- going basis. We were extremely pleased with the service we received, the cleanliness of the facility, and the helpful, friendly staff and doctors. Highly recommend!
Great Experience with Lakeshore
On Easter Sunday, with my husband out of town, I had to bring our little Bichon in after he was ill & became dehydrated. Dr Liebelt offered me the option of bringing Petey home with medication or checking him into the hospital. I decided on the hospital stay & am so very happy that I did! I found the fees to be extremely reasonable & was comforted by the fact that I could call anytime to check on Petey. I picked him up today & received very detailed discharge instructions from the tech, Amy. She explained everything so well! Dr Liebelt also told me that she went to bed thinking about Petey & trying to come up with a possible reason for his illness. She explained another test we could run (with our vet or at Lakeshore). I so appreciated the fact that she was thinking of our little guy even when she wasn't in the office. If we ever need emergency services in the future, we will be heading to Lakeshore. Thank you!
Huge Improvement in Otto
After dealing with an issue for 9 months, we started coming to Lakeshore and cannot tell you how happy we are. We have seen a huge improvement in Otto. Your staff is the best!! Thank you for your care in helping us finally heal our boy. By the way, you are the most timely vet we have seen! 🙂
Every Staff Encounter is Pleasant
Dear Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists, I can't thank all of you enough for everything you have done for both my dogs (Heintz and Edith). Every staff encounter is pleasant and you spend time to explain what animal owners need to know (Dr. Klose spent one and a half hours with me and Heintz today and answered all of my questions). I have seen other vets at Lakeshore over the past years and it's always been a good experience. The clerical staff and technicians are always smiling and happy to help. Thank you all for everything you do for animals and their owners. It is obvious that you realize how important our pets are to us. Thanks, Karen, Heintz, and Edith
Dear Staff at Lakeshore Vet Specialists, We can't thank all of you enough for the wonderful care you gave to Sophie during her recent health problems. We are forever grateful to you for saving her life and the exceptional after care! Mary, Mark, and Sophie
Enjoying Life Again
Dear Dr. Tate, We both wanted to thank you profusely for taking care of and diagnosing Emma so well. We have both read as much as we can about Addison's this last week and realize how often it is not caught. For you to catch it before it turned into a life threatening crisis means the world to us and speaks volumes about how great you are at your profession. Emma isn't back 100% yet but has been doing much better since starting her medication. She's always been very tough and easy going, so it's been hard to see her sick. We know she'll turn around and be able to enjoy life again, thanks to you. I was able to finally get a photo of her smile (after trying for the last 10 years!) and thought you and the staff at the clinic would love to have it. All the best, Mike and Molly
Thank You to Everyone
Thankful for Lakeshore
To all Doctors, Hospital Staff, and Office Personnel, Words can't say enough to say "thank you" for all you've done for Willow (and me). Your kindness and compassion have helped us through this recovery and of of course surgery. I feel so blessed to have had all of you there for us. May you all be blessed for all you do. Gratefully Yours, Janet and Willow
I spent my last weekend in and out of this emergency hospital and the care that I received was exceptional. My dog was there for almost 40 hours and I was given updates each time a different doctor was rotating off his/her shift. They moved swiftly to eradicate what was a life-threatening infection. They also were incredible about monitoring him over the course of his stay for any symptoms, as he had had seizures previously. During my times of extreme stress and hysteria, they were empathetic, confident, cool, calm, and collected. I have never met or spoken to veterinarians (or technicians) who were this comprehensive/smart. They understood that in my time of need, they needed to tell me absolutely everything about how my dogs body was operating and what they were doing or had done to make him better. When exiting, the technician was so passionate about the take home instructions and my animal. I could feel the love my dog had for this man who had been taking such care of him. He was pretty much saying "I love your dog and have been taking good care of him, you better do the same" I knew that they had a genuine, vested emotional interest in my dog's well being. I spent a small fortune and felt like I got more than my money's worth. They have a beautiful facility and an amazing staff. Thanks Lakeshore!
Blessing to Community
Good afternoon Dr Teunissen, your staff has been exceptional. Haley is back to her happy Haley self today, eating and tearing up a baby care bear toy. It took her 5 days before she tore it up and that is what gave me such joy because that is very normal behavior. You are one of my favorite people because you saved Comet of course but also because you respect the owners of these animals and it is very obvious you love your work and the animals. I really respect that. Please don't misunderstand if I say I hope I don't want to go back to Glendale. That just would mean Haley is doing well. Your clinics are such a blessing to the community and you have a great staff. Just wanted you to know Haley is doing well and I really appreciate you. Best for the new year, Laura.
Exactly What Boo Needed
I had to bring my dog Boo to see a vet after he stopped eating and drinking. The staff was very down to earth, friendly and courteous. After he was examined I was given three possible courses of action, with the recommended being the most conservative and economical. That turned out to be exactly what he needed. They also followed through by notifying my regular vet. It was very much worth the longer drive to Oak Creek for my dog's emergency vet care. Thank you very much, Sheila
Thank You Very Much!
My little Jack Russell Terrier and best friend, Joker, was viciously attacked by a large dog while we were out on our daily walk. I rushed him to his regular veterinarian, Dr. Jahn, at North Shore Animal Hospital in Racine. She evaluated his injuries, determined he would need surgery, 24 hour care after surgery, and, therefore, recommended Lakeshore Vet Specialists in Oak Creek. From the time we arrived in tears to the time we left with smiles, we were we were treated with compassion, emotional support, and felt confident Joker was being given the best care possible. Everyone from Dr. Lakia, Joker's primary doctor there; Dr. Odders, his surgeon; the many technicians, and the rest of the entire staff are, without a doubt, heroes. I was told I could call any time I wanted to check on Joker or to ask any questions I may have, and, believe me, I did! I will be eternally grateful to everyone who helped to save my "little munchkin´s" life.
Helped Our Little Guy!
I want to thank the entire staff for their wonderful service and compassion. Our 7 month old miniature schnauzer "Jagger" ate some of his crate bedding and couldn't pass it. He was vomiting, lethargic, and obviously not eating. The staff took him in, took x-rays, and administered IV fluids for a day and a half. Jagger had 2 bowel movements immediately upon arriving home and is already back to his normal self. Thank you all so much for helping our little guy. It meant the world to us.
Knowledgeable and Understanding Team
To the staff and doctors of LVS, On behalf of our family, I would like to sincerely thank the team at Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists for their excellent service and care of our beloved Daisy. We were so fortunate to have such a knowledgeable and understanding team caring for Daisy over the past 10 months. A special thank you to Dr. Reiman and her vet techs for guiding us and Daisy through her chemo treatments. Dr. Reiman was very patient and understanding with us in sorting out the best treatment. Also, many thanks to Dr. Mulvany and Dr. Schmidt for their care and thoughtfulness on Daisy's final day. To all the staff, we appreciate your care and compassion during this difficult time.
Our dog, a 6 year old hound mix, had a disc disease. She was in extreme pain for over two weeks, not being able to move her neck. She kept her head down at all times and was squealing in pain every time she set down or got up off the floor. We've tried painkillers, inflammation reducing medication, and laser treatments. Unfortunately, they did not help. After Dr. Rushing performed CT scan, it became very obvious that one of the dog's discs at the base of her neck had a large disc extrusion and was putting pressure on the spinal cord. Surgery was performed to remove extra mass of herniated disc material and relieve the pressure. Our dog recovered great, was walking the next day. When we picked her up from the clinic, she took off running through the parking lot and jumped into the car. It was hard to believe that the same dog could barely walk down two steps just 3 days prior to this. Was the procedure expensive? Yes, it was. However, Dr. Rushing and his staff performed a miracle during the surgery. So how much would you pay for YOUR dog's miraculous recovery? We're very grateful to all staff at the Lakeshore Veterinary Hospital for professionalism and care.
Nicky is Running Again!
Our dog, Nicky, is a miniature dachshund who is 8 years old. Don’t let his small stature fool you. Nicky is a dog who loves agility; he can run circles around all types of breeds. This little dog has won many National Championships in agility and, just this past Spring, in Jacksonville, Florida, he earned 1st place overall in his division! In early July, Nicky’s personality changed when he became ill. He was lethargic, incontinent of his bladder, withdrawn, and would not eat. My husband and I took him to our primary veterinarian, who ran lab work. Results showed his kidney numbers were alarmingly high. By mid August, his condition worsened. More lab work was done and we were told that he was in renal failure. We were heartbroken, but did not want to give up hope. We inquired about a specialist and were given the name of Dr. Klose, from Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists. Many more tests and additional lab work were done. Dr. Klose suggested that we run two additional tests, since his ultra sound was fine and all other lab work appeared fine. Within 48 hours of this additional lab work, Dr. Klose called and shared that Nicky had tested positive for “Leptospirosis”. He was started on a new medication that day and within 3 weeks we could see an significant improvement. Each day he was becoming more like himself. I was so excited to see him light up again and run. At the end of September, we were entered in a dog competition for a weekend with our other dogs and Nicky was with us. I could see in his eyes he wanted so badly to run. Normally, there are 10-13 events on a weekend. After looking at Nicky, and seeing how excited he was, we entered him in 5 events over the entire weekend. Nicky was so happy and he ran his heart out. He won 1st place in all 5 events! We cannot thank Lakeshore and Dr. Klose enough. Our Nicky continues to be monitored by Dr. Klose and his team. There are no words that can describe what it meant to see him run again and enjoy his agility.
Thanks for Helping My Hound!
Patience and Guidance
Dear Dr. Jeremy Page: I want to express my appreciation for your compassion, understanding, patience & guidance on 8/22/15. You, Jordan & Dorothy were all a blessing to me during my difficult time with Lucky's repetitive illness. I had rescued Lucky 12/16/13 from our deck. He was fine other than an upper respiratory infection the first year. The second year it was regular FLUTD emergencies & then not strong enough for surgery in between. Your patience with me was over & above your duty at the clinic. Lucky was such a fun kitty with a huge personality & he is still missed lots!! Thank you for everything the 3 of you did for us that night. Also thank you to Sally for assisting with necessary paperwork!! Thank you for helping me through this difficult time!
Dove Is Back To Her Full Potential
Thank you to all, for helping bring back Dove to her full potential with two surgeries & lots of Rehab. She would not be where she is today without your great staff & dedication. Special thanks to Dr. Odders for trusting me in knowing my dog & how to proceed with the second surgery & to Dr Kristin Luginbill & Shannon & Drew for their awesome Rehab Dept. Dove would not be where she is today without all of us working together.
Thank You Dr. Reiman
I said goodbye to Mischief in February and her sister, Mouse just yesterday. I wanted to thank everyone at Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists for the amazing care and love they gave my girls, but especially their oncologist Dr. Rachel Reiman and her assistant Audrey. The two of you are seriously amazing people. You are blessed with a very special gift.
Asta Received The Very Best Care
To Everyone at Lakeshore, Thank you for the loving care that you gave Asta. It was a comfort to know that he received the very best care and lots of love and hugs. He fought hard but his little body just wore out. I miss him horribly, but it is a comfort to know he is at peace. Thank you for being so great to little Asta. Warmly, Julie
Kind Generosity Helping Flo
Confidence In Doctors, Technicians, and Support Staff
I had to take my kitty here because he was having trouble going to the bathroom. When I arrived I was promptly greeted by a technician who took my cat immediately, before making me fill out paperwork, which was very reassuring. Luckily the problem wasn't as severe as I thought but the Techs and Doctor I spoke with here very kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions with patience. We were able to leave with some medicine and peace of mind. The next time I need an emergency vet I plan on returning here. I also plan on recommending Lakeshore to all my friends with animals of their own. To the staff: I am happy that my kitty's problem was not as bad as it could have been. The last time I was in a vet ER it was not nearly as pleasant. With that said though, words can not express how grateful I am to see a place with such compassionate and intelligent staff. Thank you all so much 🙂
Best Care Imaginable
Lola is doing GREAT!! She's about a month post-op and is back to her old tricks, as you can see from the picture of her with cardboard around her body. I loved bringing her to Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists in Glendale! Dr. Rushing and his techs took their time and answered all of our questions, and helped ease the minds of Lola's very anxious family from the initial evaluation all the way through her recovery to her happy release. We would highly recommend the knowledgeable and courteous staff at Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists, and while I truly hope she never needs such a specialized surgery in the future, I know that my fur baby is in amazing hands and under the best care imaginable. Thank you Dr. Rushing for giving back to us our lovable, playful, energetic Lola.
Precious Is Doing Amazing
Lakeshore Veterinary Clinic in Oak Creek is incredible. The staff there is absolutely amazing. Precious had back surgery 2 years ago and she is doing amazing! When we took her in she couldn't use her back legs at all, it was the hardest time, she has so much energy now. I was blown away with the care they gave her and always answered our questions.
What a Difference!
Jac's Vet gave me names of Vets in this area that specialized in Allergies and I chose Lakeshore's Veterinary Specialists and found Dr. Casey Stepnik at the Oak Creek location. Jac was skin tested one year ago and of course he was allergic to many pollens. We went along with Dr. Stepnik's recommendation of Immunotherapy (SLIT) for Jac and he started June 11, 2014. What a difference a year later!!! Only one ear infection at the beginning of therapy, no more licking of paws, chewing on legs, constant rubbing of eyes etc. His energy level has increased 100%! He is like a new dog, running around the yard chasing his sister Luci Lu and engaging in game playing with her again. His quality of life is back and we thank Dr. Stepnik and her wonderful and friendly staff for guiding us and giving us back our Jac!
Would Not Take Pet Family Anywhere Else
To the Staff at Lakeshore Vet: Thank you so much for all you did for Beau yesterday (Sunday)! It is so wonderful to have a place that will provide 24 hour care. We were beyond impressed with the care that we received. Everyone was so professional, timely, and compassionate! A special thanks to Dr. Wade Tate, the techs, and receptionist who were working! You all made us feel so important and we just want to say thank you!
Zeus Was Treated Like A King
Dr. Stepnik and Lakeshore Vet Staff, When your pet is your child, nothing is worse than when they are hurt and can’t tell you what is wrong. We’ve been very fond of Dr. Thomas and staff at Community, and when he couldn’t help Zeus this time, we felt a little helpless. I’m very grateful of his recommendation to consult you. Our first visit was amazing, all of you treated Zeus like a king and it was all about him, when he was needy, what made him comfortable. That’s how he runs our house. Although the surgery was a little nerve racking, we were more at ease with each phone call. Sally was amazing at pick-up and helpful on my follow up questions. At our 6 week check we received a little bad news but mostly good. Zeus is rehabbing fabulously. He’s loving the swimming pool at K9 Splash, has short walks and hanging in the rec room now that he can do some stairs. My husband and I are over the moon with the service and care you provided us. We hope that we’re not back for anything major, but would definitely recommend your services to anyone that has a similar situation. Thank you again for all you do.
Lakeshore Is The Best!
I had my 10 year old Golden at your Port Washington Clinic not too terribly long ago when he was very ill. I have always wanted to let someone know how amazing all of your staff were. My sweet dog had the best care in a really tough and sad situation. He had to spend the night at your clinic and when I left him there and picked him up the next day I felt really good knowing how kind and competent all of your staff were.
Sasha Is Doing Much Better
I absolutely love this clinic. I have a 9 year old black lab that I've had since I was 14. She is what my family and I like to call our "Flabby Labby." Recently her appetite has decreased and shes pretty lethargic...which was obviously abnormal. So I took her in to see Dr. Byl at Lakeshore's Port Washington location. He did her exam and some blood work and gave her some of the best veterinary care she has ever received. We decided that some anti-inflammatory medication for her old hips and a weight loss diet would be best for her. In the last two weeks she has lost some weight and has had more energy than she's had in a couple of years now! She even wrestles with my 2 year old red heeler! Thank you Lakeshore for the amazing care and foe giving me and my family our happy Lucy back!
Each Day Harry Gets Better
So Grateful For Your Services
Hello staff of Lakeshore! Rajah Selk just wanted to tell you all, especially Dr. Stepnik, "Thank you!" Rajah has been living in a "cone of shame" for all of the four years of her life, due to allergies of unknown origin that caused her to itch uncontrollably. Thanks to Dr. Stepnik, she has been cone-free for 1 month! So much less stress and money. So grateful for your services!
Second Chance at Life
I just wanted to express my appreciation to Dr. Williams, who recently assisted my parents with caring for my handsome cat, Lord Julian L'Orange. Dr. Williams, thank you so much for all of your effort, compassion, and time that you spent with my parents to ensure that Julian had the best care and second chance at life. You rock.
