With a background in English, foreign languages, and linguistics, Dr. Tremelling entered veterinary medicine because of a desire to help the nonverbal family members, the pets, and to help preserve and protect the bond between animals and their people.  Initially, she worked in general practice in Milwaukee, and then spent seven years at a busy 24-hour emergency/critical care facility in Madison, finding that compassion and communication are even more important when the pets in question are critically ill or injured.
