Dr. Sage had a wide array of experience in veterinary science, ranging from shelter medicine and general practice to diagnostic laboratories and medical research, eventually finding his passion in the interdisciplinary field of emergency medicine. He has authored numerous publications on the relationship between the Influenza virus and the immune system. His approach to medicine focuses on an evidence-based, individualized, interdisciplinary, and collaborative approach to provide optimal patient care and to strengthen the human-animal bond. He is especially passionate about the education of his fellow veterinarians, technicians, and animal owners. He is originally from Georgia and migrated north through Indiana, and now, Wisconsin. He has dogs and cats In his spare time, Dr. Sage likes to run with the dogs and is excited to explore the outdoors that Wisconsin has to offer.
